Welcome to Omaha!

Time flies when you're having fun!!! This last weekend the 6 pack made our final "wedding trip" to Omaha, NE for the Swanson-Fricke wedding. Before we get to it, here is a little history.....

August 2004-2006 "The 6 Pack" met and made it through PA school. Here we are the last day of school (thanks Cass for this little pearl!)

Then the weddings began!!


#1 McClure-McMillan (I do not have a digital picture, Kelly looked beautiful and it was really fun!!!)

Friday October 8, 2010 Miranda and Dan had a BEAUTIFUL wedding and reception at St. John Vianney Church in Omaha, NE.

Prior to the wedding, we met for lunch and a little shopping in the Old Market area of Omaha. Sadly we were missing Cass as she had some "flight difficulties" which will not be mentioned, "excuse me".

These are actually pictures from the reception because I did not take any during the ceremony, which was a full catholic mass and very lovely.

Post-nuptial fun consisted of a loooooong (5 hour) day at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo (finding out later that we missed a couple of the best attractions). The day was gorgeous and we saw some super cool animals!

We capped off Saturday by meeting the newlyweds for some playoff baseball rivalry (Cass and the Yankees vs the Merrills and the Twins) at Buffalo Wings and Rings.

Well, I know it was a very long blog but, it was a BIG milestone for the 6 pack. Now, instead of planning vacations around bachelorette parties and weddings, we are planning "12 pack" family vacations (plus we have Tessa and baby Merrill, name to be determined)!

6 of 6: A short, but "SWEET" weekend in Saint Paul, MN

Time to celebrate!!!

Again!!!!

Miss Miranda May Swanson is getting married in October and what better way to celebrate then head to BEAUTIFUL Saint Paul, Minnesota and have a "six pack" bachelorette party?!?!?!

Friday night, after lots of traveling from all over the US, (and a delicious supper at a french restaurant in Saint Paul) we got comfy in our "Bachelorette Slippers" that Miranda gifted us and chatted until the wee hours of the morning.

Saturday morning, Momma Annie made breakfast and then we headed off to the Aveda Institute for some relaxing spa treatments.

I chose to have a foot reflexology session. It was AMAZING!

Salt scrub, seaweed wrap and reflexology foot massage........did I mention it was AMAZING?!?!?!

The "Bride to Be" chose a Caribbean therapy treatment which consisted of a couple of body scrubs, high pressure water massage and a rain massage......I think she would describe it as AMAZING also ;-) Here's a "too close" picture of us right before our treatments. We were REALLY excited!

Next up, lunch in downtown Minneapolis on the rooftop of Brit's Pub.

I definitely ordered fish n' chips. DELISH! Then we split into teams to enjoy the gorgeous weather and a friendly, yet competitive lawn bowling game! Mind the gap!

We were told that the key to good lawn bowling is "getting low"...

It was down to the wire, black vs yellow..........and ended in a tie 10-10. It was super fun!

After a post-game rest, it was time for Mir's "Personal Shower". The only pictures I have are ones taken of the "SWEET" cupcakes we enjoyed. (Thanks to Barb Moe!!) Guess which one I picked........

Yes, that's correct..... The bottom left corner........ MMMMMMMMMMM, I did not share my cupcake, it was too delicious!

Continuing the bachelorette party fun, we headed back to downtown Minneapolis to Solera, a Spanish Tapas restaurant. We ordered sangria (Mir's favorite), a bunch of amazing tapas for supper and ended with Churros con spicy hot chocolate sauce. Y  U  M!!!!!!!!!!!

The next morning, we headed to the Lake Elmo Inn for a FABULOUS brunch buffet. We also had a small surprise shower for Mommy and baby Merrill!!!

Well, another fantastic weekend together. Our last (but definitely not least) 6-pack bachelorette celebration.The good news is, we're back together in less than a month for the wedding in Omaha, Nebraska!!!!  Can't wait for the Swanson-Fricke nuptials!!
